Is my AI-generated Google Analytics code using GA4?
If your measurement ID starts with 'UA-' or your code loads analytics.js, you're using the deprecated Universal Analytics. GA4 uses measurement IDs starting with 'G-' and the gtag.js library. AI tools frequently generate the wrong version.
Why are my page views doubled in GA4?
AI tools typically configure gtag with send_page_view: true (the default) and also send manual page views on route changes. You need to set send_page_view: false in the config and handle page views exclusively through your router integration.
